The 5th anniversary Forum of Mechanical Engineers of Kazakhstan started in Astana on the topic: “New industrialization of Kazakhstan: high-tech mechanical engineering. As part of the Forum, the national company "Kazakhstan Engineering", which is under the trust management of the Ministry of Defense and Aerospace Industry, held a sectional industry meeting in the area of defense engineering.

The sectional meeting was attended by military attaches accredited in Kazakhstan, representatives of law enforcement agencies, as well as heads of domestic and foreign engineering companies.

As Orman Nurbaev, Chairman of the Board of NC Kazakhstan Engineering JSC, noted in his speech, the national company, being an engineering holding, fulfills orders from the Ministry of Defense and law enforcement agencies, and also meets the needs of national companies and large enterprises for engineering products.

As part of the tasks for the development of the domestic engineering sector, the national company “Kazakhstan Engineering” has implemented a number of investment projects. A center for the production of electro-optical devices, factories for the assembly and maintenance of EC145 helicopters, for the production of armored wheeled vehicles have been created, the construction of ships with a displacement of up to 600 tons, and the production of printed circuit boards of class 5 accuracy have been mastered.

The production of drilling rigs, wagons, trucks, trailers, tactical and operational radio stations, repair and modernization of automobile, aviation and special equipment has been established.

Enterprises of NC Kazakhstan Engineering JSC carry out research and development work to develop and introduce new types of weapons and military equipment.

Agreements have been concluded with large Russian companies and holdings, in accordance with which export supplies of oil and gas and energy equipment are carried out.

Today, the enterprises of NC Kazakhstan Engineering JSC are ready to actively expand the range of manufactured both military and civilian products and increase local content.

The section participants examined the export opportunities of enterprises of the military-industrial complex of Kazakhstan, and also discussed the use of modern technologies in the engineering industry.
